Chartered by the American National Standards Institute for more than 40 years, the X12 Committee develops and maintains EDI standards and XML schemas which drive business processes globally. X12's diverse membership includes technologists and business process experts in health care, insurance, transportation, finance, government, supply chain and other industries.

 

HX12 will conduct an informational forum related to the above technical reports on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

The Implementation Acknowledgment for Health Care Insurance is to provide standardized data content and structure to users of the X12 999 Implementation Acknowledgment transaction set for the health care industry. This 999 is not limited to only Implementation Guide (IG) errors. It can report standard syntax errors, as well as IG errors.

 

The Application Reporting for Insurance Implementation Guide describes the use of the X12 Application Advice 824 transaction set for the following business usages:

  • To report errors that are outside of the scope of the X12 997 or 999 error reporting
  • To report the results of an application system's data content edits of transaction sets
