EDI Continues to Reinvent Itself

In the age of the IOT and AWS, folks often wonder if EDI is a concept whose time has gone. Not so as it continues to remain not just relevant but an integral part of an enterprise.  Rumors of the death of electronic data interchange (EDI) have been greatly exaggerated, said a recent report from IT analyst Forrester Research. In spite of numerous supplier predictions that the emergence of competing web-based standards, and in particular extensible mark-up language (XML), would herald a mass migration of users away from the older, proprietary technology, EDI has survived.

Trinity Packaging signs up for Long Term EDI Support

After struggling with support for the last 5+ years with a company that had only one support person, Trinity Packaging has decided to go with Effective Data and our "team approach" to EDI support.

Effective Data will be providing trading partner setups, new maps, and map changes as they arise for Trinity Packaging. We are currently in the processing of establishing the communication link up with Trinity Packaging and once completed will be able to provide any and all support needed.

Effective Data migrates over 80 new trading partners to their Cloud Services

Effective Data has successfully completed a large migration to our Cloud Services for a pharmaceutical company that provides high-quality and cost effective generic drugs for a number of health issues in several therapeutic areas. With this client’s dedication to improving patient outcomes and reducing the cost of healthcare, it only made sense to also streamline their EDI to cut overall costs.  ED is currently processing all their Purchase Orders (850), Advanced Ship Notices (856) and Invoices (810) through ED’s Cloud Service.
