IBM remove support for specific Operating Systems

IBM will remove support for the following Operating Systems from the next version release of Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling File Gateway
1. iSeries.
2. HP-UX.
3. Solaris

IBM has recognized that above three Operating Systems as nonstrategic in the market and for all our on-premise software, There is more focus on Linux platforms, primarily – Red Hat and Ubuntu based Operating Systems. This is part of IBM's larger shift to Cloud Computing based platforms as there is a major shift in the paradigm in that direction.

This will not affect any currently in-Support and in-Market versions of Sterling B2B Integrator or Sterling File Gateway. These versions will follow their usual life-cycles including Client Support. This change will only happen in the next major release. Therefore it is advised to customers on these platforms to move to Ubuntu or Red Hat based Operating Systems whenever they explore any major upgrade options.
